February 3, 2007 HOUSTON, Tex. - The Nicholls 4X400-meter relay team led the Colonels at the Houston Indoor Invitational Friday and Saturday at Bill Yeoman Field House on the campus of the University of Houston.
The relay team, who consists of Nicoya Hutcherson, Latasha Bishop, Chelsea Dockrey and Sabrina Henkes, moved into second place all-time at Nicholls after a run of 4:10.36. The team finished in 22nd place overall.
Jarina Guilbeau and Henkes also set personal bests in the 60-meter hurdles after preliminary times of 9.85 and 10.11, respectively. Guilbeau's run moved her into third place all-time in the Nicholls record books.
Other performers include: Chelsea Dockrey (200-meter dash, 28.07, 49th; high jump, 5-03.75, sixth), La-Nation McCray (400-meter dash, 1:01.65, 39th), Bishop (400-meter dash, 1:02.86, 45th), Hutcherson (400-meter dash, 1:03.39, 47th), Dominique Harris (long jump, 15-09.00, 18th) and Eunice Jepkogei (3000-meter run, 11:23.31, 26th).
The Colonels Indoor Track and Field Team continues action on February 10, when they return to Houston, Texas to participate in the UH Run Sport.
