MORE RECORDS BROKEN AFTER FLORIDA STATE RELAYS



Tiffany Nall ran a 12.21 in the 100m which is the fastest time in the SLC to date

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Colonels broke five school records at the Florida State Relays this past weekend while also having several players move into the Top-5 in Nicholls' record books.

Highlighting the event for the Colonels were the relay events were Nicholls set new school marks in the 4x100m, the 4x200m, the 4x400m and the 400m shuttle. In the 4x100m, freshman Alycia Johnson, senior La-Nation McCray, freshman Ashley Carpenter and freshman Tiffany Nall ran a school best 47.57 in the event, while the same squad set a new school mark in the 4x200m with a time of 1:41.17.

The 4x400m relay team of senior Leshea Jenkins, sophomore Marion Chebet, McCray and Carpenter set a school best mark of 3:53.32 while the pairings of senior Dominique Harris, sophomore Rahjanaye Bailey, sophomore Jarina Guilbeau and sophomore Sabrina Henkes broke the school barrier with a time of 62.82.

Henkes also broke her own school record in the 400m hurdles with a 65.51 showing in the event. Moving into the Top-5's in Nicholls record books were Chebet and Nall. Chebet now stands second all-time in the 800m with her run of 2:17.94, and Nall moved into third all-time in the 100m with a 12.21 showing. Nall's time in the 100m is the fastest in the event standings in the Southland Conference as of this weekend.
