NACOGDOCHES, Tex. - The Lady Colonels were unable to finish their tennis match against the Ladyjacks on Saturday due to snow and wet court conditions.

"It was a very tough and competitive match for both teams, and then the snow came and suspended play," said head coach Jim Hunter. "Adeline, Sanja, and Karlijn had some very impressive wins in singles. It is a shame that we did not get a chance to finish the others."

The Colonels (9-8, 4-5) lost the doubles point as the freshman duo of Sanja Stanojcic and Nicole September were the only Colonels to win their doubles match. Stanojcic and September defeated Mary Harrison and Lauren Nowicki of Stephen F. Austin 8-6 to win the only doubles match for Nicholls.

Senior Adeline Vallet took down Gabriela Gadeva 6-3, 6-1, and Stanojcic posted an impressive 6-1, 6-1 victory in singles over Nowicki. Freshman Karlijn Sissingh recorded an impressive 6-3, 6-3 win over Tatiana Smolnikova.
