COLONELS SPLIT ON CONFERENCE ROAD TRIP

March 20, 2007

THIBODAUX, La. - The Colonels women's tennis team took to the road this past weekend, and came away with a victory at Central Arkansas and a loss at Northwestern State.

The Colonels (5-5, 2-2) went to Central Arkansas and swept the Sugar Bears in doubles and singles to win the match 7-0. Then Nicholls traveled to Northwestern State and fell to the Demons 4-3.

In the match against the Demons, Nicholls lost the doubles point, but stormed back in singles with wins by Sara Hanesch, Sanja Stanjocic, and Karlijn Sissingh. However their wins could not equal a team victory in Natchitoches.
