LADY COLONELS FALL 4-1 TO SAM HOUSTON
March 7, 2008 THIBODAUX, La. - The Lady Colonel tennis squad dropped a 4-1 Southland Conference decision to Sam Houston State Friday afternoon at the Nicholls Tennis Courts. Nicholls dropped the doubles point as the Bearkats won No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Only three singles matches were completed. Irina Sotnikova defeated Florina Nosca at No. 1, while Eleonora Kuruc took the No. 2 match from Anne-Claire Murier. At No. 6 singles, Roxanna Martinez won over Sumana Kalyanasundram. The Lady Colonels will take on Stephen F. Austin Saturday at 9 a.m., while the men will face Texas-San Antonio at 1 p.m. Both matches will take place at the Nicholls Tennis Courts. ###### |
