As a Junior (2007): Led the Colonels in batting average for the third straight season with a Nicholls' single-season record .453 mark... Was named to the All-SLC First Team and LSWA First Team... Started 37 of the 40 games that she played in, while battling injuries all season long... Despite being limited, she led the team in slugging percentage (.742) and was second on the team in total bases (95)... Only had nine strikeouts in 128 at bats... Was 3-of-6 on stolen base attempts... Also recorded a team best 38 runs, and was second on the team in hits with 58... Was also first on the team with a .503 on-base percentage... Had two four hit games with the first coming at Pacific on February 11, 2007 and at Central Arkansas on March 3, 2007... In arguably her best game against Central Arkansas on Mar. 3, she recorded two homeruns, three RBIs, and had 10 total bases.

As a sophomore (2006): Led the Colonels with a .382 batting average, .659 slugging percentage, .428 on base percentage, 112 total bases, four triples, and twelve stolen bases... Her .382 batting average was tops in the Southland Conference... Played in 55 games and started 54 of them...Only had 12 strikeouts in 170 at bats... Was second on the team with nine homeruns... Was named Southland Conference Hitter of the Year for her efforts, and an All-SLC selection at short stop... Batted 3-for-4 on many occasions, but her best offensive outing came against Alcorn State when she went 2-for-4 that included a homerun, three runs, three RBIs, and a stolen base.

As a freshman (2005): Led Nicholls last season with a .281 batting average that included a solid .409 on-base percentage...Finished campaign with two homers and 19 RBIs...Had a steady glove as she only committed two errors in 51 starts...One of only a few Nicholls softball players to ever record four hits in a game...She accomplished that feat on April 25 against Grambling State when she went 4-of-5 with seven RBIs... In that game against Grambling State, hit a homerun from both sides of the plate.

At Clear Creek High School: Lettered in both basketball and softball...Was voted as the most athletic in her class after receiving the Wildcat Award...In addition she was also named first team all-district in both basketball and softball...As a senior her softball team advanced to the bi-district round of the playoffs, while in basketball her squad made it to regionals.

Personal: Kathryn Michele Harrell was born on March 18, 1986 in Webster, Texas...Daughter of James and Terri...Has one brother, Cody...Majoring in sports sciences.
