As a Sophomore (2007): Started 54 of the Colonels 55 games in the out field and in the circle... Had a .307 batting average while being tied for the second most hits (54) and doubles (12)... Led the team in walks with 21, and in stolen bases (6-7) among returning players... Was an All-SLC First Team selection in the outfield... Picked up SLC Pitcher of the Week and SLC Hitter of the Week through the course of the season... Also saw some action in the circle with her first collegiate appearance against then No. 16 Louisiana-Lafayette on February 14, 2007... In her first game in the circle on the college level, she threw a two-hitter to lift the Colonels to their first win of the season... She then went on to compile the best earned run average on the team with a 2.67 ERA and an 8-2 record... Had 15 appearances with seven starts that included six complete games and one shut out... Her opponents batted .265 against her when in the circle. As a freshman (2006): Participated in 54 of the Colonels games, and started 51 of them... Had the third most at bats on the team with 159, and batted .226 for the year...Compiled a .314 slugging percentage... Finished with a .927 fielding percentage... Had her best outing against Southern University on April 15, 2006 when she went 3-for-4 at the plate and scored once. At St. Thomas Moore: Received numerous accolades including first team all-district and all-state honors as a junior. Her team, who won the Class 4A state championship in 2002, finished third in the state in 2004 thanks to her 164 strike outs and .355 batting average. In 2004 as a member of the Voodoo Gold, Butler worked 100 innings and struck out 82 batters while batting for a .437 average that included a .605 slugging percentage.
