LADY COLONELS TIED FOR SIXTH AFTER DAY ONE AT SAMFORD INTERCOLLEGIATE

CALERA, Ala. - Led by Daniele Dunlop's two-round total of 152, the Lady Colonels are currently tied for sixth place at the Samford Intercollegiate held at the Timberline Golf Course in Calera, Ala.

South Alabama currently leads the 14-team field with a 613, as Eastern Kentucky closely follows with a 616. Belmont and Jacksonville State are tied for third place with 623s, and Tennessee Tech rounds out the top five with a 627.

West Florida and Nicholls are tied for sixth place with a 632, while Murray State sits in eighth place with a 633. Austin Peay State and tournament host Samford are tied for ninth place, as Troy (642), Western Kentucky (644), Lipscomb (654) and Centenary College (672) fill out the remaining tournament field at Nos. 11-14, respectively.

West Florida's Sarah Nicholson currently sits atop the individual leaderboard with a 149, while Sara Marti of South Alabama and Ashley Cox of Jacksonville State are tied for second place with 150s.

Dunlop shot a 76 in each of the first two rounds sit in a tie for ninth place with a 152. Natalie Robinson is currently tied for 20th place with a 156, while Theunette Van der Walt and Jessica Marquart are tied for 43rd place with a two-round total of 162. Emiley Patton completes all Nicholls golfers in 74th place with a 174.

The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
