March 5, 2007 MOBILE, Ala. - After shooting a first-round 75, Natalie Robinson is currently tied for 16th place overall, to lead the Lady Colonels at the Lady Jaguar Invitational at the Azalea City Golf Course.
Middle Tennessee currently sits atop the team leaderboard with a 299, followed by Jacksonville State (301) in second place, and Winthrop and Lamar tied for the third spot with 303s. Belmont (304), UAB (305), Samford (306) and Arkansas State (307) are in at Nos. 5-8, respectively, while tournament host South Alabama and Western Carolina closely follow with 308s.
Louisiana-Monroe and Florida Atlantic both shot a first round 310 to sit tied for 11th place. McNeese State (312) is in at No. 13, as Southern Miss, Mercer and Troy are tied for 14th place with 314s.
Centenary College (316), Nicholls (318), Austin Peay State (321) and Jackson State (324) fill out the remaining 20-team tournament field.
Samford's Katelyn Stanier currently leads all golfers after firing a first round 69. Mallory Bishop of Middle Tennessee is in second place with a 71, while UAB's Carolyn Cochran shot an even par 72 for third place.
Besides Robinson, other Nicholls golfers include: Theunette Van der Walt (79), tied for 58th place, Daniele Dunlop (81), tied for the 75th spot, Emiley Patton (83), tied for 86th place, and Jessica Marquart (84), tied for 91st place.
The tournament will conclude tomorrow.
