February 13, 2007 KINDER, La. - Led by Natalie Robinson's T-11th place finish with a 235, the Nicholls women's golf team finished in ninth place at the Cowgirl Spring Invitational at the Kosati Pines Golf Course in Kinder, La.
South Alabama finished atop the team leaderboard with 932, followed by Lamar (933), Sam Houston State (945), Central Arkansas (952) and tournament host McNeese State (955) to round out the top five.
Texas State (959) took sixth place, while Louisiana-Monroe (971), Arkansas State (973), Nicholls (989), McLennan Community College (994) and Troy (1003) finished at Nos. 7-11, respectively.
Lamar's Therese Nilsson took home the individual crown after shooting a 223 for the tournament. Elin Andersson of South Alabama and Nicole Forshner of Central Arkansas tied for the runner-up spot with a 225.
Besides Robinson, other Lady Colonel golfers included Daniele Dunlop (242), tied for 24th place, Theunette Van der Walt (249), tied for 36th, Jessica Marquart (263), 51st place and Emiley Patton (277), 57th place.
The Nicholls women's golf team returns to action on February 26-27 when they participate in Centenary's Ladies Spring Invitational at the Shreveport Country Club in Shreveport, La.
