LADY COLONELS IN SIXTH PLACE AT ULM/FRED MARX INTERCOLLEGIATE

MONROE, La. - The Nicholls Lady Colonels golf team turned in a 672 in day one of the ULM/Fred Marx Intercollegiate, to head into the final day of competition in sixth place at the Bayou DeSaird Country Club in Monroe, La.

Louisiana-Monroe and McNeese State are currently tied for the top spot with a 610, while Samford closely follows in third place with a 616. Sam Houston State (620) and Texas State (629) rounds out the top five.

Nicholls currently holds the sixth spot with a 672, followed by Centenary (673), Jackson State (677), Troy (684) and Henderson State (685) at Nos. 7-10, respectively.

Louisiana-Monroe's Angela Drane leads the tournament field with a 143, followed by Samford's Heather Arnold (146) in second place. McNeese State's Sara Ekerman and Jackson State's Shasta Averyhardt are tied for third place with a 148.

Natalie Robinson leads the Lady Colonel golfers tied for 31st place with a 164, followed by Theunette Van der Walt (168) tied for 37th, Jessica Marquete (170) and Daniele Dunlop (170) tied for 40th place and Emiley Patton (177) tied for the 49th spot.

The final day of the ULM/Fred Marx Intercollegiate will get under way tomorrow morning.
