FRISCO, Tex. - Junior Charlotte Everhardt and true freshman Brandon Kotzur won the Southland Conference Player of the Week awards for their dominating performances at the Ragin Cajun Invitational.

"They both ran very well and are deserving of the awards," said head cross country coach Scott Williamson. "I am very proud of them and the team in how they competed and represented Nicholls."

Everhardt helped the Colonels win their first ever invitational with her dominating first place finish at the Ragin Cajun Invitational. The Metairie, La. native and product of Ecole Classique posted a time of 20:17.04, which was a personal best as she out ran runners from Louisiana-Lafayette and Grambling State.

Kotzur took home the Top Collegian prize with his second place finish at the Ragin Cajun Invitational outlasting runners from Louisiana-Lafayette and Grambling State. The true freshman's time of 22:58.99 was an all-time personal best in the four mile race.

The women's and men's cross country team will be back in action on September 14 when they travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to compete in the Crimson Classic.
