March 21, 2007 HAMMOND, La. - The Colonels picked up Southland Conference play with a trip to in-state rival Southeastern, but fell to the Lions 6-1 on Wednesday afternoon.
"Southeastern has a very talented and well coached team," said head coach Jim Hunter. "Ricardo (van Bolderik) battled hard for his win in singles, and even though Maxime lost, he really battled as well."
Junior Ricardo van Bolderik picked up the lone victory in the match for the Colonels with a 4-6, 7-6, 10-5 win over the Lions' Medhi Darlis.
