ARLINGTON, Texas - Freshman Parham Booker is at 1-under par (70-73/143) and in a tie for 12th place going into Tuesday's final round of the 2007 UT-Arlington Fall Classic. Booker, the true freshman from Pace, Florida, had Nicholls' low totals for the day. He's six shots back from the individual leader, Central Oklahoma's Colby Shrum who is 7-under after two rounds, shooting 67-70/137. Nicholls is in 10th place at 17-over par. Tournament host Texas-Arlington is the team leader at 1-under going into the final round. The Mavericks shot 282-275/5557 and have a commanding 21 shot lead over Central Oklahoma (577) and Cal Poly (577). UMKC is fourth (578) and tied at fifth are Central Arkansas and Southern Illinois (583). Sam Houston State is seventh (584), Arkansas State is eighth (587), Stephen F. Austin in ninth (588) and Nicholls rounds out the top 10 (299-294/593). Oral Roberts is 11th (597), Missouri State 12th (598), Texas State 13th (603), Centenary College (14th) and McNeese State rounds out the field of 15 with a 616. The tournament is being played at Arlington's par 72, 7,304 yard, Waterchase Golf Club. Play included 36 holes on Monday and the final 18 will be played on Tuesday. Jacob Lejeune is a six shots back from his Colonel teammate and at 5-over, shooting 77-72/149. Also for Nicholls, Marty Reed is T-47th at 6-over (76-74/150). James Terrebonne is T-50th at 7-over (76-75/151) and Ebenhaezer Van der Walt is at 66th at 11-over (77-78/155). |
