THIBODAUX, La. - Freshman Parham Booker finished in third place after firing a one-under par 71 in day one at the Moe O'Brien Intercollegiate. The event, hosted by McNeese State, was held at the 7,182-yard, par-72 Gray Plantation, which is part of the Audubon Trail. Sigmundur Masson of tournament host McNeese State still at the top of the leader board after firing a seven-under par 65, while Central Arkansas' Scotty Campbell trails by two shots after posting a five-under par 67. McNeese State leads the over team standing after posting an even par 288, while Central Arkansas trails by three shots (291) in second. Nicholls sits in third after posted a 304 in the opening round and Centenary College rounds out the field of four with a 314. Other Nicholls golfer included James Terrebonne (71-T8), Marty Reed (77, T13), Robbie Ocmond (79-16th), who played as an individual, and Jacob Lejuene and Ebenhaezer Van der Walt, who played finished tied for 17th after firing an 80. The event will continue will with 18 holes on Monday and conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday. |
