MEN'S GOLF FINISHES IN 11TH AT BATTLE ON THE BEND

MANY, La. - The Nicholls men's golf team completed their fall schedule with an 11th place finish at the Battle on the Bend at the Cypress Bend Golf Course in Many, La.

Sam Houston State took the tournament crown with a 585, followed by Texas-San Antonio (587), Baylor (594), Louisiana-Lafayette (595) and New Orleans (597) to round out the top five.

McNeese State (601), North Texas (610), Texas State (612), Stephen F. Austin (618) and Texas-Pan American (619) filled out the bottom five, while Nicholls (624) and Centenary (638) came in at 11th and 12th place, respectively.

Sam Houston State's Fergal Rafferty shot a second round-low 69, to finish atop the individual leaderboard with a 142. McNeese State's Jeremy Jeansonne came in at runner-up with a 144, closely followed by Texas-San Antonio's Kyle Collins in third place, with a 145.

Marty Reed led the Colonels in a tie for 18th place with a 150. Nat Bhanthumachinda shot a 157 to tie for 45th place, followed by, James Terrebonne (158), tied for 49th place, Donny Schmitt (159), tied for the 51st spot, and Brandon Henry (166) in 60th place.
