As a junior (2007) - Started every game at center for the third consecutive season... Was a part of an offensive line unit that led the conference in rushing. As a sophomore (2006) - Started every game for the Colonels at center. As a freshman (2005) - Was a backup on the offensive line. At Lafayette High School - Played for Coach Mark Barousse at Lafayette High earning first team All-district and honorable mention All-State. Nigel was a three year starter also playing defense.
