BERKELEY, Cal. - After playing a Tulane on Friday, roughly 70 miles from Nicholls, the Colonels are headed west to play three games in California with the first against Cal-Berkeley on Monday night at 9:30 p.m.

The next two games in California will be at UC Davis on Wednesday and at St. Mary's on Saturday.

The Colonels (1-2) will be playing Cal (1-0) for the first time in their program's history on Monday night. The contest also marks the first time that a team from the Southland Conference has played the Cal.

The Bears, who have won 14 of their last 15 games on their home floor, come into the game having beaten Southern Miss, 67-59, to open their season. Nicholls is coming off of a 73-51 loss at in-state rival Tulane on Friday night, and in the game, the Colonels were led by the strong shooting of sophomore Michael Czepil and junior Ryan Bathie. Czepil finished with a game high 16-points in the loss, while shooting 4-of-7 from three point territory. Bathie was second on the team in scoring against the Green Wave with 11 points to go along with his five rebounds, two assists, and a block in the loss.

The only other Colonel scorer in double digits was sophomore Mitch Boyce with a solid 10 points off the bench in only 17 minutes of play. Senior Adonis Gray did not score in double figures in the loss, but did tally a game high seven rebounds.
